The Search for Items
If you are looking for items or commodities that are hard to come by, it might just be worthwile posting it here in a new thread (please give it a meaningful thread title).
If you are looking for something specific, please do give the exact name. Otherwise you can also ask for items in general (e.g. asking for a deflector with stats something like x). Naturally, you yourself are generously inclined, so perhaps you want check this area from time to time to see if there is anyone you can help out. Items you don't need can also be donated in the fleet bank.
Compensation
Don't expect free goodies posting here. If someone has something you may need, it is entirely up to them to gift or price the item as they see fit. Any fleet discounts people may want to give are a courtesy, not a privilege.
